The most notable exhibit in the museum is the Neutrogena Collection that consists of more than 2,500 textiles, ceramics and carvings from all over the world. White Sands National Monument: Situated in the southeastern region of New Mexico, the White Sands National Monument is one of the most spectacular sights in the state. The monument comprises the largest gypsum sand dune field in the world. The park has a rich wildlife, plant species, and geological features. It is well known for its Sunset Stroll Nature Walk held in the evenings throughout the year. El Malpais National Monument: Located in the northwestern New Mexico, the El Malpais National Monument is a historical site. It was established in 1987 and has been inhabited for over 10,000 years. The monument gets its name from the rough lava that makes up the region. The place is famous for its variety of wildlife that include golden eagles, red-tailed hawks, scorpions, spiders, bobcats, prairie falcons, great-horned owls, black bears, rattlesnakes, mule deer, elk, coyotes, and mountain lions.
